GPI are pleased to announce that a planning application has been submitted to East Hertfordshire Council, which if approved, will see the development of a state-of-the-art Primary Care facility in Ware.
The former Ware fire station and adjacent office accommodation known locally as Meade House will be refurbished and extended to provide 991m2 clinical GMS space, a 119m2 integrated pharmacy and 217m2 of office space, enabling future clinical expansion. Once complete the building will provide approximately 1,327 sqm of accommodation in total, facilitating the relocation of Dolphin House Surgery, whose existing premises are seriously undersized and outdated.
Designed to achieve a BREEAM very good score, GPI are investing £5m into this much needed project, which will enable increased services to be delivered to over 14,000 patients in line with the local commissioning strategy. The completed building will provide a base for core GP services, GP Training, Minor Surgery, Health Promotion and Pharmacy services.
We are hoping for determination in January 2019.
